(taken immediately after above photo.) Taken in July, 1896. Thérèse
had already been sick for several months.
Celine, who took the photograph, instructed Therese
to "put on the the expression she had in the picture the photographer
took of the two of us when she was eight." Once this pose was
made, Celine snapped the photo, without thought for the way the
habit fell, etc. This led Mother Agnes to want to destroy this print.
