Therese at fifteen, pictured with her
hair knotted on top of her head, a style she adopted to make herself
appear older for her visit to Bishop Hugonin, on 31 Oct, 1887.
This photo was taken in April, 1888, a few days before
her entrance into Carmel, on 9th April.

Therese as a novice, taken in January 1889, some
days after her clothing in the habit (10th Jan). She had been in
the convent for nine months, and was now sixteen years old.
