Day 48. 20th March 2002 - Wednesday 06.30 Relics leave Young and travel via Wombat, Murrumburrah , Harden, Binalong, Yass and Murrumbateman to the Carmel of Sts Peter and Paul, Carmelite Monastery, 28 Mugga Way, Red Hill, ACT. Expected travel time 3 hours. Carmelite Monastery, Tel: 02 6295 3805 09.30 Relics arrive at Carmelite Monastery 10.00 Welcoming Ceremony of the Relics to the National Capital led by Most Rev Francis P Carroll, President of the Australian Catholic Bishop's Conference and Archbishop of Canberra and Goulburn. Veneration of relics. 11.45 Relics leave Carmelite Monastery for St Christopher's Cathedral,
Franklin Street, Forrest ACT.
Day 52. 24th March 2002 - Passion Sunday (Palm Sunday) Carmelite Monastery, Tel: 02 6295 3805 08.00 Relics will process from St Peter Chanel's Church, Weston Street, Yarralumla, to the Carmel of Sts Peter and Paul Carmelite Monastery. Combined St Edmund's and St Clare's College Bands will accompany the Theresemobile. 08.45 Relics arrive at Carmelite Monastery 10.00 Mass. Main celebrant Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop H.E. Canalini;
concelebrated by Bishop Patrick Ahearn, Auxiliary Bishop of New York and
