Carmel Retreat Centre (Varroville) is about 48km South-West
of Sydney, 16km South of Liverpool and 8km North-West of Campbelltown.
You will find it in all recent street directories. With the completion
of the M5 motorway (Dec 2001), the Retreat Centre is now only about 35-40
minutes from the CBD, and 30 minutes from the Airport. Peak-hour trips,
especially on Friday afternoon, may take considerably longer. At night,
it is quite possible to drive from the city in about 25 minutes.

From Sydney City take the Eastern
Distributor (also known as the Airport Motorway, or Metroad 1: Toll is
$3.50 Nothbound only) towards the Airport. Continue on Metroad 1 to the
junction with new M5 East motorway.
Look for signs to Canberra & Liverpool.
Follow the M5 motorway for 34km (Toll is $3.30 each way).
Take the "Brooks Road, Ingleburn Industrial Estate" exit;
turn right (at the roundabout) onto Williamson Road;
turn left at the end, (a T-intersection)
onto Campbelltown Road;
and then turn right at the next large roundabout over the hill, which is
St Andrews Road.
The Centre is 2.5kms along the road, on the left.
If you are driving from Campbelltown take the "Ingleburn/Minto"
exit to the right onto Old Campbelltown Road, and then turn left at the
second roundabout which is St Andrews Road.
If you are travelling by train: Take the East Hills Line, and
then telephone the Retreat Centre from Minto Train Station — we will
drive to meet you near the last bus stand on the City-bound (Western) side
of the station, next to the street corner (near two shops).
This is where the wheelchair ramp meets the street.
