Carmelite Justice and Peace Prayer Network
A group of Australian Carmelites (O.Carm. and O.C.D.) seculars, sisters, friars and friends are joining together in a prayer ring to pray for a change of heart in our politicians and the people of our nation towards the refugees and asylum seekers throughout our country. Continuing escalation of violence and the threat of war have also prompted us to add a second prayer for peace in the world.
Would you like to join our group?
Each Friday is a special day of prayer. On this day of the week, each person in the prayer network undertakes to pray, offer their day, light a candle in awareness of the compassionate heart of the crucified Christ, and to say the I was a Stranger prayer at the beginning and end of the day.
